6 breeders rule LGBA derby
MANILA, Philippines — Six gamefowl breeders, with identical 6-1 (win-loss) cards each, topped the 2018 Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) 7-Stag Derby (second leg) Monday at Pasay City Cockpit.
The co-champions: Ren Castro (Ilokanos RNC), Hermie Pagtalunan (Franzopia), Jimmy Junsay (Sto. Niño Jared), Lito Orillaza (LA ESM Jobo), Glen Jarque (J and J JV Farm Meka) and Nelson Uy (Thor MP Wash).
Backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, the LGBA stag derby circuit has already drawn 393 entries.
The third and final leg, an 8-stag derby, fires off on Oct. 19, 22 and 26. Participants in Friday’s 3-stag elims must submit entries one day before the event (until 2 p.m. only).
The 2018 LGBA Breeder of the Year will be determined after the grand finals on Oct. 26.
