MANILA, Philippines — Ricci Rivero finally donned the Pilipinas threads on international level last week.
And boy did he make the most out of it.
Playing for the national Under-23 squad in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in Xi’an, China, the UP Fighting Maroon swingman displayed his full arsenal.
From crafty moves to sneaky passes, Rivero made so much that FIBA actually made a full mix tape on him.

The squad was able to collect a 2-2 card in preliminary play, upsetting heavyweight China and and Turkmenistan. But their aggregate points weren’t enough to book a ticket into the next round. The Nationals finished 9th in the global contest.
