Joseph Aquino leads Breeders race
MANILA, Philippines — Newcomer Joseph Aquino of Puerto Galera ruled the 2018 Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) seven–stag derby first leg at Pasay City Cockpit Monday.
Aquino scored a 7-0 record that put him on the lead in LGBA Breeder of the Year race presented by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.
Joseph Marigundon of Rizal and Larry Wacnang of Kalinga tallied 6.5 points while Ren Castro, Nelson Uy, Charlie Cruz, Mel Lim, Mayor Anthony Marasigan and Eric Abella had six points apiece in the event that attracted 284 entries.
The LGBA circuit second leg, also a seven-stag derby with an entry fee of P11,000 and guaranteed prize of P1.5 million, unfolds with the three-stag elims on Oct. 5, 8 and 12.
All qualifiers will advance to the four-stag finals on Oct. 15.
