Fierce duels up in LGBA finals
MANILA, Philippines — Action in the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association seven-stag derby heats up beginning today for the first of three-day finals at the Pasay City Cockpit.
The event has lured 284 entries with those with one, 1.5 and two points clashing in today’s four-stag finals. The second group will slug it out on Sept. 29 with those with 2.5 and three points tangling on Oct. 1.
The day’s champions will get a share of P200,000 while P100,000 will be divided among three pointers, according to LGBA president Nick Crisostomo.
Meanwhile, the LGBA circuit’s other derby dates are on Oct. 5, 8, 12 and 15 (second leg, seven-stag derby) and Oct. 19, 22 and 26 (third leg, eight-stag derby).
