MANILA, Philippines — National team head coach Yeng Guiao knows he has little time to work on.

And he is not planning to waste any of it.

Shortly after arriving from his stint in the Asian Games in  Indonesia, Guiao told the press he will officially announce his lineup for the second round of the FIBA World Cup Asian qualifiers when his 14-man pool meets and practices for the first time ahead of the road game against Iran.

Philstar.com caught up with Guiao after he visited his NLEX Road Warriors in Saturday night’s PBA action at the Big Dome. The tough-talking tactician also talked about the hurdles he’s bracing for, and the possible composition of the lineup.

The Nationals will play Iran in their capital Tehran at the Azady Gym (8:30 p.m. in Manila).
