57 more bowlers gain 2018 Bowling World Cup national finals

MANILA, Philippines — Fifty-seven pintopplers – 40 men and 17 ladies – hurdled the second center finals recently and advanced to the 2018 Bowling World Cup national championship set on Sept. 29, 30 and Oct. 2, 3, 5 in three different venues: Coronado Lanes, Superbowl and Paeng’s Eastwood Bowl.

Kenneth Chua tallied 2594 pinfalls in 12 games and former national kegler RJ Bautista shot 2594 to lead the men’s list while Nancy Frianeza rolled a 10-game series of 2356 to pace the ladies’ division.

Other top scorers in the second center finals are Ramon Camba with 2591, Benshir Layoso (2582) and Jeff Carabeo (2401) for men and Dyan Coronacion (2229), Mades Arles (1998), Abbie Gan (1897), Lara Posadas (1867) and Alexis Sy (1835) for ladies.

The first center finalists of 40 men and 28 ladies will join the second batch of bowlers in the national finals, with the winners earning the right to represent the Philippines in the 54th Bowling World Cup International Finals on Nov. 4-11 at Sam’s Town in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Last year’s international event was held in Hermosillo, Mexico with the Philippines’ Krizziah Tabora emerging as ladies’ champion.

Domingo, Ramel Francisco, Lando Galbey, Santos Walang, Eric Aranez, Jorel Simbulan, Rene Boy Aranico, Erwin Cabaneros, Anton Alcazaren, Marc Matias, Ted Convocar, Kevin Atienza, Ren Cremen, Rene Rodelas, Niel Buencamino, Nichole Andrew Jimeno, Wency Olivares, Joebert Buenafe, MJ San Jose, Edwin Rupido, Francis de Leon, Paul Eluna, Jerht Santos, Boyet Delfino, Dumo Bejara, Joe Tomagan and Federico Rivera.

Ladies Perla Pacheco, Jane Bonifacio, Abby Lanuza, Ester Lita Santiago, Joanne Santos, Myls Creencia, Liza Pabico, Mae Malvar, Cielet de Leon, Alice Cabazor and Farah Onasa.
