Road shows to boost youth football
MANILA, Philippines — The Youth Football League (YFL) announced the staging of road shows in Bacolod and Davao in line with its efforts to promote youth football club-based systems in the country.
The league said the road show kicks off June 29 and 30 in Bacolod with a workshop for team managers and coaches focusing on the important of setting up and formalizing youth football clubs set on Day One and a football festival near the famous Ruins of Bacolod slated the next day.
The tournament features competitions for players born 2007, 2005 and 2003 with 10 teams per age group coming from Negros and two squads from guest YFL sides from Luzon joining in each bracket.
YFL execs said they partnered with the Negros Occidental Football Association for this endeavor.
From Negros, the YFL will go to Mindanao to a similar activity in Davao towards the end of July.
