Team Excellence leads World Slasher 2 cast

MANILA, Philippines — After a strong finish in the first edition last January, Team Excellence gears up for the World Slasher Cup Invitational nine-cock Derby 2 which unfolds Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Headed by Doc Ayong Lorenzo, Team Excellence posted two runner-up finishes in the first Slasher Cup. The entries Firebird 2 of Excellence national endorser Biboy Enriquez and RC Warriors Chris Purple of Pitgames head Manny Berbano, Rey Canedo and Cris Sioson both scored 8-1 (win-loss) slates, just half-a-point behind the eventual champion.

“We are again fielding the best battlecrosses,” said Enriquez, a pioneer of Araneta Coliseum’s international derbies.

Meanwhile, local and foreign participants, along with beauty titlists of the recent Bb. Pilipinas contest, will grace today’s WSC 2 launch and press conference at the Novotel Hotel in Cubao, Quezon City.
