Standhardinger leads 3x3 team

MANILA, Philippines — Christian Standhardinger, Troy Rosario, Stanley Pringle and RR Pogoy will form a tall, versatile Team Phl to be fielded in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup slated June 8-12 at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Standhardinger, Rosario and Pogoy have played together with Gilas Pilipinas while Pringle is to make his first appearance wearing the national tri-colors. Rosario is the lone veteran of FIBA 3x3 competitions.

Ronnie Magsanoc calls the shot for the team which will try to surpass the country’s 11th place finish in Nantes, France last year behind the quartet of Kiefer Ravena, Jeron Teng, JR Quiñahan and Kobe Paras.

Making up the women’s team are National U’s Afril Bernardino, Jack Daniel Animan and Gemma Miranda and CEU’s Janine Pontejos.

SBP president Al Panlilio announced the makeup of the teams in-between games in the PBA at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last night.
