MANILA, Philippines — The Asian Kennel Club Union of the Philippines, Inc. (AKCUPI) has reiterated its commitment to reach new heights in the purebred dog registering industry in the country as it marked its 10th anniversary recently.

Put up on March 30, 2008, AKCUPI is a premier dog registry in the country with over 583,000 registered canines it is the country’s only purebred dog registry  that has no membership fees, giving dog owners value for their money.

Entrepreneur, environmentalist and animal lover Henry Babiera, who heads the club, said he was overwhelmed by the immense success AKCUPI has been reaping over the years.

“Our success is anchored on the four pillars – transparency,  honesty, integrity and service – which are the hallmarks of a true purebred dog registering organization,” said Babiera, who also vowed to transform the club into a more viable, robust and dynamic organization with the continuing support of dog aficionados and breeders.

For the past decade, the AKCUPI has conducted a significant number of international all-breed dog shows adjudicated by top-caliber and seasoned international all-breed judges from the United States, Canada, South America, the European Union and Asia. It has been involved in community activities as part of its social commitment.
