MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Pilipinas mainstay and Alaska Aces star Calvin Abueva has already solidified his mettle in the hard court that he took his talents to another world — the Philippine rap scene.
In a Facebook video posted by Live Ph., Abueva, who lives by the moniker “The Beast,” performed in front of a huge crowd with rapper Thirdflo in a Makati City bar last weekend.
The song is about Abueva’s toughness and dedication for basketball.
In the end, Abueva asked the crowd to watch their game against NLEX Road Warriors. The Aces, however, lost yesterday in the first game of the best-of-three quarterfinals series in the ongoing PBA Philippine Cup.
