Bernadeth Pons hammered 14 kills and landed two aces for 16 points to go with 16 excellent receptions while Toni Basas chalked up 14 markers as the Lady Tams improved to 7-6 and caught up with the Lady Bulldogs at joint fifth.
FEU and NU stood half a game behind third and fourth-running University of the Philippines and Santo Tomas (7-5).
Jaja Santiago punched in 20 points as Jorelle Singh added 11 for the Lady Bulldogs, whose cause was hurt by their 27 errors.
“This game really boosted our morale, especially in our preparation in our upcoming game against UP,” said FEU assistant coach Arielito Canlas whose charges scored a much-needed back-to-back victories and need another against the Lady Maroons to stave off elimination.
