LGBA circuit begins at Pasay cockpit
MANILA, Philippines - The Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association holds a 7-cock derby today with 118 entries disputing top honors at Pasay City Cockpit.
“The first batch of 58 entries will compete in the 3-cock while the second group of 60 will slug it out tomorrow,” said LGBA president Nick Crisostomo.
Tipped to clash for top honors with their aces are Jorge Sales and Arnold dela Cruz of Team Sagupaan, 2017 World Slasher Cup 1 runner-up James Uy, Ricky Magtuto, Carlos Tumpalan, Honey Yu, Jet Fernando, Cleto Manongas, Jojo Gatlabayan, Peping Cojuangco, Gov. Jayjay Suarez and Giovanni Obispo.
Qualifiers will advance to the 4-cock finals on March 3.
Meanwhile, the three-leg LGBA circuit resumes on March 13 and 24 (7-bullstag derby, second leg) and on April 7 (Northerners vs Southerners 5-bullstag derby, third leg).
The Cocker of the Year winner will receive P500,000 from Sagupaan Complexor 3000.
