WSC finals Day 2 today at Smart Araneta Coliseum

MANILA, Philippines – Another batch of championship hopefuls girds up for battle as the 2017 World Slasher Cup Invitational 9-Cock Derby enters its eighth day today at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Supported by Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialists, Thunderbird, B-Meg and Petron with Pit Games Media Inc., this year’s WSC is hosted by Pintakasi of Champions.

Those who will score 8 wins and 1 loss in today’s finals ( 4-cock ) may possibly emerge as co-champions, said WSC media director Manny Berbano, because of the new and difficult  9-cock format.

At the end of semifinals yesterday, only four participants ( Coun.Marvin Rillo, Pol Estrellado, Max Benedicto and lawyer Amante Capuchino) racked up five wins each and six others have 4.5 points each.

Estrellado’s other entry, in partnership wth James Yap (not the PBA cager)  tallied 4.5 points making the duo the winnnigest participants so far.

‘’Nag-combine kami ng manok ni James hanggang finals,’’ said Estrellado.

 The frontrunners today, with four wins each: Ting Ariosa of Arizona, Kenny Graham and Rene Medina of California, Joel Ocsena, Leo Nogoy, Philp Chiongbian, Jervy Maglunob,  Julieto Daniel and Aylwyn Sy of LGBA.

World-class cockfighting resumes at the Big Dome tomorrow and on Wednesday.
