20th Founders Invitational gets going at Orchard

MANILA, Philippines – The 20th edition of the Founders Invitational, the member-guest tournament of the Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmariñas, Cavite, unfolds today with a huge field seeing action and two Mercedes-Benz cars up for grabs for hole-in-one feats.

Orchard chair Vicente Santos, Orchard president Conrad Benitez and reigning men’s club champion King Stehmeier lead the roster of members hosting their respective partners in the four-day bonanza that offers P10 million worth of prizes from premium cars, plane tickets, appliances, gadgets and golf items.

Two M-Benz premium cars, a 2016 CLA 200 AMG and a 2016 C200 Avantgarde, lie in wait for any of the 800 participants to score an ace on eight par-3s of the Arnold Palmer and Gary Player courses.

Petron Corp., Banco De Oro-CLG/ VISA, Philippine Airlines, CATS Motors, Sta. Lucia Realty and Development Corp. are the major sponsors of this year’s Founders Invitational.

In Sunday’s awards rites, Philippine Airlines and Asiana Airlines will each be raffling off a pair of tickets with PAL sending the winners on business class to any US destination and Asiana to any of its many destinations around the world.
