Roligon hosts ‘Bakbakan’ derby Roligon
MANILA, Philippines - The national elimination of the “FIGBA National Bakbakan 12-Stag Derby” begins Tuesday at Roligon Mega Cockpit.
Ricoy Palmares Jr., president of International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders (FIGBA), said this year’s “Bakbakan” is expected to attract 7,000 entries.
FIGBA is backed by 37 gamefowl breeder groups nationwide with 5,000 active members.
Initial action is on Nov. 22, 24, 26 and 29 (three-stag elims) and Dec. 1 (four-stag semis). The second batch is on Dec. 3, 6, and 8 (three-stag elims) and Dec. 10 (four-stag semis).
Bakbakan 2016 is co-presented by Thunderbird the Winning Formula and B-MEG Integra Power Maxx in cooperation with Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialists, Lakpue Drug Inc., Hagibis, Salto, Vitarich Titan, Vio-Plus, Pit Fighter, and Mad Science.
