MANILA, Philippines – Even after bagging the Most Valuable Player plum in the 13th Shakey's V-League Collegiate Conference, Jaja Santiago said there is still "room for improvement."

Speaking to the press Wednesday after their five-set, title-clinching victory over Ateneo 19-25, 25-18, 25-22, 21-25, 15-4, Santiago said she is yet to reach her full potential.

Pero para sa akin, hindi kasi ako nakukuntento kung anong meron ako kasi laging there's room for improvement," Santiago said. "Go lang ako nang go para umangat pa. Hindi ako titigil hangga't di pa ako nakukuntento."

She added her stints in other leagues, including the Asian Women's Club Volleyball championship, greatly helped her.

More than being named MVP, Santiago said she is happier that they were able to defend their V-League crown.

With Italian coach Fabio Menta tagging her as the "Philippine volleyball great hope," Santiago said she will work extra hard to earn the right for the moniker.
