Baby Falcons sweep Milcu elims

MANILA, Philippines – Adamson held off Lyceum, 68-63, to score a two-match romp in Week 10 and complete its sweep of the 15-Under eliminations of the Milcu Got Skills Hard To Guard basketball tournament at the Enderun Colleges gym recently.

John Escalante came away with 16 points to power the Baby Falcons past the Junior Pirates while Nicole Quinal hit 11 markers to lead Adamson to a 53-45 romp over University of Santo Tomas for their impressive elims campaign.

The Baby Falcons thus topped Group B with eight straight wins in the tournament sponsored by Milcu and organized by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

Meanwhile, San Beda College Alabang took first place in Group A after routing La Salle Greenhills, 78-52, for a 6-1 card in the 15-Under class.

Vincent Abeleda topscored for San Beda Alabang with 20 points in the tournament backed by Kawasaki Motors, Gatorade, LGR, Slam, Mighty Sports, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, Secret Fresh Ronac, Coach Athletic Trainers’ Tape, Magic 89.9, Enderun Colleges and Lyceum.

In other 15-under results, Lyceum beat Bataan Warriors, 61-53; De La Salle-Zobel trounced UST, 65-56; and Paco Citizen Academy Foundation crushed Diliman Preparatory School, 64-58.
