PNP, NHA eye UNTV semis

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine National Police (PNP) and National Housing Authority (NHA) hope to secure the two other semis berths tomorrow when they go up against separate rivals in the quarterfinal round of the fourth UNTV Cup at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig City.

The PNP Responders clash with the reigning titlist Judiciary at 3 p.m. with the former needing only to win once to advance to the next round of the annual tournament for Manila’s public servants.

Like PNP, the NHA Builders can also march into the semis round if they beat the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Firefighters in their 4:30 p.m.

Both PNP and NHA gained twice-to-beat bonuses after finishing third and fourth, respectively, at the end of the two-round elims of the tournament organized by UNTV CEO and president Daniel Razon.

The winners in the quarterfinal round will join top seed Armed Forces of the Philippipines (AFP) and No. 2 Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) in the semis.
