Bowling, golf highlight Kiwanis anniversary bash

MANILA, Philippines - The Kiwanis  International will celebrate its 101st founding anniversary Jan. 17 to 23, 2016 with the Kiwanis Philippine Luzon District lining up  weeklong  activities, including  a sportsfest, bowling and golf tournaments and Youth Olympics.

District governor Uthman Mamadra said the celebrations will kick off with wreath-laying and motorcade at Luneta for NCR Kiwanis and cap with grand Kiwanis Night on Jan. 23 at the Palacio de Manila along Roxas Boulevard.

 Florante Gamayao is the  chair of the Kiwanis festivities backed up by past District Gov. Melvin Mendoza.

The anniversary rites will have as its  highlight the launching of the ’Young Children Priority One’ project to serve the children of each district and give emphasis to the KI advocacy of ‘Serving the Children of the World’ for a better future.

Members of Kiwanis all over, including its Canlubang Chapter headed by Eboi Contreras, are expected to participate in its anniversary celebration.
