Blackwater wins 3-on-3 over Ginebra
MANILA, Philippines – Blackwater clinched the inaugural championship of the PBA Dickies Women’s 3-on-3 Tournament yesterday, beating Ginebra San Miguel, 7-3, in Game 2 to complete a sweep of their best-of-3 Finals series at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Allana Lim chalked up four points and powered Blackwater to an insurmountable 6-0 start.
Camille Sambile added two markers, while France Mae Cabinbin added one for the Elite, who practically dominated the series.
“Masaya kami at thankful kasi may mga ganitong liga,” said Lim. “Sana makita nila na di lang sa mga lalaki yung may career sa basketball. Sa mga babae din.”
Bernardine Rose Yamamoto scored two points while Mary Joy Galicia accounted for one for Ginebra which never recovered from Blackwater’s early onslaught.
