The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club, the only course in the country which boasts of four championship layouts, holds its first-ever pro-am tournament on Dec. 29 with a maximum of 40 teams vying for top honors at the Aoki course in Gen. Trias, Cavite.

Organizers said a total cash prize of P100,000 is being put up for the 18-hole tournament held as part of the club’s effort to keep the country’s touring pros busy during the holiday season.

A pro can choose his amateur partner, either male or female, although the latter has to be 12 years old and above with a UNHS or USGA handicap in the event sponsored by WG Golf, LK Golf Management, VAST Agro Solution, Cross-Link Electric Corp., Sta. Lucia Land, Hosea Aircon Service and STD General Contractors.

Meanwhile, if the pro is among the Top 20 in the 2015 ICTSI Order of Merit ranking, he must tap a partner with a handicap index of no lower than 10 and below.

The winning pair under the one-ball, twosome (alternate shot) format will receive P25,000 (pro) and a trophy (amateur).
