Panaguiton claims 2nd ABC bowler-of-year plum
MANILA, Philippines – Eugene Panaguiton of Emerald Pipes took his second bowler-of-the-year award while Michael Macasieb of Boysen Paints bagged the most improved bowler and the most sponsors of the year plum in the Architects Bowling Club’s Christmas Party tournament at the Vikings, SM Megamall last Tuesday.
Panaguiton also garnered the most number of winning points for the 2015 season, besting Ronnie Javier for the Bowler of the Year honors. The incoming ABC president also won the Group 2 Annual Championship last 2008 and in 2009 and copped the Most Improved Bowler of the Year (MIBY). In 2010 and 2011 he placed second in Group 1 and bagged the first ABC Open Group 3 Masters plum in 2012.
Meanwhile, Denis Jalandoon of Boysen carded a 2076 to nail the Group A crown while Johnny Baluyot of Boysen Healthyhomes and Russel Mapanoo of Mighty Lynx took the Group B and C titles in the ABC’s Annual Championship at the E-Lanes in San Juan City last week.
Dante Manglicmot of Crown Pipes scored a 2040 to finish behind Jalandoon while Eugene Panaguiton of Emerald Pipes placed third with a 1961 followed by Jerry Cham of Boysen Paints and Nepthy del Rosario with 1953 and 1920, respectively.
Baluyot turned in a 1544 to beat Rudy Serrano of DN Steel, who had a 1517, and Toto Abear of Coach Furniture, who made a 1499, for the Group B plum with Lito Zubiri of Boysen Paints and May Sabater of Emerald Pipes placing fourth and fifth with 1497 and 1472, respectively.
Mapanoo of Mighty Lynx dominated Group C with a 1407 with Jho Madrinal of Romari Construction and Zeny Prudente of Steeltech ending up second and third with similar 1321s and Michael Macasieb of Boysen Paints and Lawrence de Jesus of Philflex scoring 1312 and 1275 for fourth and fifth, respectively.
