MANILA, Philippines – Ivo Karlovic couldn't have come at a more opportune moment.

 

Debuting in the International Premier Tennis League that's currently in Dubai for its fourth stop, Karlovic came out with guns blazing to pull off a gutsy win over home team stalwart UAE Royals and top-tier netter Roger Federer. 

 

The Mavericks, who are currently ranked fourth in the team standings, drew a 6-4 outing from the towering Croat, eventually paving the way for a team victory against the Royals.
