Rick Olivares - Associated Press

MANILA, Philippines – Jacqueline Alolor-Alota, Far Eastern University’s cheerdance coach who led the Morayta-based school to 10-consecutive top three finishes from 2003-12, will be taking her talents to Ateneo de Manila University come January 1, 2016.

“We are pleased to have a top flight coach with us,” disclosed Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion Program Head Ralph Aligada. “Coach Jackie will bring her ideas, creativity, and experience to Ateneo.”

Ateneo’s CDC team finished last in the last three cheerdance competitions.

“Any great changes will not happen overnight,” noted Aligada, who himself was a part of the BBB during his school years. “We are also installing a new program for our team and for Coach Jackie to work her magic with us."

Alolor-Alota was released by FEU this past season after the school missed the top three in the past three years. She led Morayta-based university to its second CDC title in 2009. Joining her in Ateneo will be her assistants Julius Quitalag and Peter Padilla.
