Pacman makes Facebook's year-end athletes list

MANILA, Philippines – He's no global icon for no reason.

 

Eight-division boxing champion Manny Pacquiao has once again proven he's still a slugger to be talked about, landing a spot in Facebook's most-discussed athletes' list of the year.

 

The guy ahead of him in the list? His tormentor in what was dubbed as "The Fight of the Century," Floyd Mayweather Jr.  While it was generally accepted as a lackluster match, it generated so much buzz that it appeared on almost every corner of the Internet and ended up as the richest fight in boxing history.
