MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Pilipinas head coach Tab Baldwin has been appointed as the new head coach of the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the UAAP.
Ateneo president Fr. Jett Villarin made the announcement Monday in the university’s official website.
“[Tab Baldwin] is a multi-titled mentor who has extensive coaching experience internationally, having coached the national teams of Jordan, New Zealand, and Lebanon,” Villarin said.
The experienced Baldwin thus replaces Bo Perasol, who was Ateneo coach from 2013-2015.
Villarin, for his part, expressed gratitude to Perasol on behalf of the Ateneo community.
“We remain truly grateful to him for all that he has done for us and we wish him all the best,” he said.
