MANILA, Philippines - Marikina Wangs outgunned Malolos Mighty Bulsu, 130-123, to clinch the fourth and last semifinal berth in the Filsports Basketball Association Second Conference at the Enderun Colleges gym at the Bonifacio Global City Tuesday night.
Francis Munsayac exploded with 24 points and spiked his game-long brilliance with nine rebounds as the Deliverers nailed their fourth win against six defeats to secure the last ticket to the semis.
Pateros Austen Morris, behind Jawhar Purdy’s 33-point performance, edged First Conference champion Quezon City UP, 84-82, to book the third semis slot after finishing with a 5-5 (win-loss) record.
In the other game, Pampanga Foton cruised past the Manila NU MFT, 87-73, to clinch the top seeding in the semis. Mikee Reyes led the Toplander with 19 points while Matt Salem scored 19 as well for the Bulldogs.
The knockout semifinals will be held this Saturday with the No. 2 Manila NU MFT Bulldogs taking on the Pateros Austen Morris Associates at 3:30 p.m. and the Pampanga Foton Toplander clashing with the Marikina Wangs Deliverers at 5:30 p.m.
