Mare, 2 others top ABC monthly

MANILA, Philippines - Greg Mare of WE Konstruct scored a 1059 to bag the Group C crown while William Kang of Consnet Builders and Lito Zubiri of Boysen Paints took the Groups A and B titles in the Architects Bowling Club’s Monthly Championships at the E-Lanes in Ortigas, San Juan City.

Kang turned in an 1163 to edge Boysen Paints’ Jerry Canuday, who shot 1161, and Dante Manglicmot of Emerald Pipes placed third with a 1139. Zubiro made a 1179 to dominate Violy Magsakay of Boysen Paints (1102), and Romy de Jesus of Philflex (1098).

Michael Macasieb, also of Boysen Paints, fell by just one pin to settle for second in Group C with a 1058 with Russell Mapanoo of Mighty Lynx placing third with a 1029.                    

The tournament, backed by Boysen Philippines, Boysen Acrytex/Knoxout/Healthyhome/Wallguard, American Wires, Philflex, Crown Pipes, Glass Asia, Duraflex TW/THHN Wires, Philflex Cables, Emerald Pipes, Concrete Ventures, Consnet Builders, Morning Sun, WeKonstruct, Miraga Trading, Coach Furnitures, Moldex Pipes, Steeltech, Goldbridge Neighborhood Dental, E.S.Vidal Builders, PNS Advanced Steel Tech, Romari Constructions, DN Steel, Matson Builders, Syngenta and Mighty Lynx, resumes at 7 tonight with the holding of the ABC Quarterly Championship Games 3 Groups, also at E-Lanes.

Meanwhile, ABC president Denis Jalandoon and vice president Abe Firmeza are inviting all members with 50 percent attendance from Jan.-Nov. to join the annual championship elims set Dec. 1. Registration starts at 1 p.m. with the roll off set at 2 p.m.

The ABC Christmas Party will also be held Dec. 8 at the Vikings SM Megamall.
