The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Pampanga Foton and Manila National University-MFT try to stay way ahead of the pack as the joint leaders take on First Conference champion Quezon City-UP and Marikina Wangs, respectively, today in the Filsports Basketball Association Second Conference at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Malolos.

Sharing the top spot at 5-1, the Tornadoes slug it out with the Maroons at 3:30 p.m. in a grudge match between last conference’s finals protagonists.

The Bulldogs tangle with the unpredictable Deliverers at 5:30 p.m.

Quezon City-UP and Marikina Wangs, along with Malolos Mighty Bulsu and Pateros Austen Morris, are all tied for third at 2-4 with QC-UP and Marikina going all-out for reversals to boost their semifinal bid.

The Pateros Austen Associates, bannered by team owner-playing coach Nic Belasco, tangle with the Mighty Bulsu in the main 7:30 p.m. game with the winner staying in a tie for third.

FBA president and CEO LJ Serrano and commissioner and CFO Vince Hizon will grace the weekend games with host Malolos Mayor Attorney Christian Natividad.
