Pringle sparkles in GlobalPort OT win over Barako Bull

MANILA, Philippines -- GlobalPort leaned on its up-and-coming stars to fend off Barako Bull, 105-91, in overtime Sunday in the 2015 Smart Bro Philippine Cup in a throwback venue at the Philsports Arena.

Last season's Rookie of the Year Stanley Pringle came away with 19 points and grabbed a career-high 17 boards and issued five assists while Gilas star Terrence Romeo sizzled in extra time to finish with 21 as the Batang Pier won for the second time in a row.

The Energy tried to duplicate its amazing comeback from 21 points down in its big win over Brgy. Ginebra Kings in their last game but could not pull their acts together in the overtime.

In this game, Barako Bull wiped out an early 15-point lead by GlobalPort and even led by six, 61-55, in the second half. But Pringle, Doug Kramer and Joseph Yeo rallied the team back.

Kramer pumped in 14 points and nine boards while Yeo wound up with 13, 10 in the third canto.

Jc Intal, who led Barako Bull with 17 points forced the overtime when he hit a turnaround shot against the outstretched arms of Keith Jensen at the buzzer.
