BSP charity golf up at Forest Hills

MANILA, Philippines – The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas sholds its annual charity golf tournament presented by Union Bank today with a big field from various sectors seeing action at Forest Hills in Antipolo.

The event is held to raise funds for the Tulong Dunong Foundation, which gives scholarships to less privileged but deserving students, according to organizer Blue Eagle Alumni Foundation, headed by BSP Gov. Amando Tetangco.

Sponsored by Metrobank and Banco de Oro, Tulong Dunong is the fifth beneficiary under the BEAF program. The other recipients are the Foundation for the Advancement of Surgical Education (FASE), the Ateneo Jesuit Infirmary, the San Vicente Elementary School and the Makabata School Foundation.

Backing the event are Robinsons Bank, Standard Chartered, Rural Bankers Association, Radiowealth Finance, One Network Bank, Bankers Association of Phils., Phil. Business Bank, Innovative Investors, All Asian Countertrade, RCBC, Citibank, Security Bank, Autohub, PNB, Pangasinan Five Star Bus, Land Bank, Pagcor, PSC, East West Bank, DBP, ACI PH, City of Dreams, Mogu Mogu, Rang-Ay Bank, Deutche Bank, Banco Rodriguez, Andoks and Product Providers.

“Assisting the less fortunate is what drives this group to hold this kind of fundraiser. It has been our advocacy from the start and will remain true and steadfast in the future,” said tournament director Greg Cancio.
