Typhoon Lando forces PBA, UAAP to cancel Sunday games
MANILA, Philippines -- Both the PBA and UAAP have canceled their schedules Sunday due to the bad weather brought by typhoon Lando.
The UAAP was the first to cancel its Sunday schedule on Saturday night.
As per UAAP board, all games tomorrow, Sunday, Oct 18, are cancelled due to the bad weather.

The PBA advised the public on Sunday morning as the production and technical crew were just about to start their rehearsals for the league's 41st season opening. The PBA opening was moved to Wednesday with the same playdate featuring the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the Star Hotshots.

At 4 a.m. on Sunday, the eye of typhoon Lando was located at based on all available data including Subic Doppler Radar in the vicinity of Casiguran Aurora with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kph according to PAGASA.
