Nuggets top Warriors for third straight win

OAKLAND, California – Kenneth Faried had 22 points and 12 rebounds, and the Denver Nuggets beat Golden State 114-103 on Tuesday night to spoil the Warriors' first appearance at Oracle Arena since winning the NBA championship.
Stephen Curry had 14 points and seven assists for the Warriors.
NUGGETS: Rookie guard Emmanuel Mundiay had 16 points and nine assists. The seventh overall pick also committed just two turnovers after having 17 in his first three games. . Faried went 10 of 12 from the floor and scored 12 points in the third quarter.
WARRIORS: Klay Thompson missed seven of his eight shots and finished with eight points. Harrison Barnes sprained his right knee in the second quarter and did not return. Leandro Barbosa had 16 points off the bench.
STAR WATCH: Curry scored nine points during an 80-second span in the first quarter. The reigning MVP went 5 of 13 from the floor and brought the home crowd to its feet with a behind-the-back pass to Marreese Speights to cap a fast break in the second quarter.
THINNER IN THE MIDDLE: Warriors center Andrew Bogut dropped 20 pounds in the offseason but don't expect his role to change much. The 7-foot Aussie didn't take a shot until fewer than seven minutes remained in the third quarter and he finished with three points and five rebounds.
UP NEXT: Denver returns home to host Phoenix on Friday (Saturday in Manila). Golden State plays Houston on Thursday at Oracle Arena.
