CHANGSHA – Andray Blatche allayed fears that he won’t be able to play 100 percent against Iran today with his injury.
He’s confident he’ll be okay and will be able to lead Gilas Pilipinas’ bid against Iran starring 7-foot-2 behemoth Hamed Haddadi, among others.
“Yeah, I’m good. (It’s) just a little strain. I just have to ice it and keep it elevated. I’ll get some rest for tomorrow (today),” Blatche said.
“Definitely, Iran’s one of the top teams out here. We will come to the hotel, watch film and start preparing for them,” Blatche added.
Everybody’s anticipating the Blatche-Haddadi showdown but Gilas coach Tab Baldwin said: “I’m sorry, but I don’t think that would be the matchup.”
