MANILA, Philippines – Borna Coric met little resistance on his way to the Claro Open Baranquilla title Monday, disposing of Brazilian Rogerio Dutra, 6-4, 6-1 according to the ATP World Tour website.
Coric, who is currently the World's No. 33 at the young age of 18, dropped just one set on his way to his second ATP Challenger crown, the report added.
The Philippine Maverick and Croatian youngster dealt his foe's first loss since the Intermek Cup in Italy and a triumphant conquest at the Advantage Cars Prague Open.
Dutra, who is 13 years the Mavs' senior, is ranked 163 in the ATP ladder.
Coric's win at Colombia came as a breather from his disappointing Opening Round exit in the hands of Rafael Nadal in the US Open.
Coric is set to visit the country in December to join Serena Williams and other top-tier tennis names for the International Premier Tennis League's second season.
