MANILA, Philippines - Adamson overwhelmed University of Santo Tomas in a duel of unbeaten teams, 74-43, to seize the lead in Group A of the Milcu Elite Showcase Under-16 basketball tournament at the AMA University courts in Quezon City recently.
Joseph Prodigo fired 11 points to lead the way for the Baby Falcons, who stretched their win run to four in the tournament sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
The Tiger Cubs fell to 4-1 but remained in the hunt in the tournament also supported by Got Skills, Milcu, Slam Philippines, Gatorade, LGR x Titan Sports Wear, Coach Athletic Trainer’s Tape Secret Fresh, Enderun Colleges, and Philadelphia School.
In other results, AMA leaned on CJ Lumaque’s 17-point output to trounce De La Salle Araneta-B, 67-56, and improve its mark to 3-2.
National University smothered Xavier, 52-36, for a 2-2 card while De La Salle-Araneta C won over De La Salle-Araneta A, 44-38, for its first win in three games.
Meanwhile, registration is now open for Milcu Elite Stars Hard To Guard tournament set Oct. 2015 to Feb. 2016.
The tournament, featuring the U-12, U-13, U-15, and U-25 divisions, is open to all school, clubs and company teams.
