Stephen Curry bound for Manila for promo tour
MANILA, Philippines – The National Basketball Association's best player is coming to town.
League Most Valuable Player and newly-minted World Champion Wardell Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is visiting Manila on September 5 as part of a five-day promotional tour for a sporting apparel.
“Together with Under Armour, I’m looking forward to sharing my energy and commitment to basketball with the fans and basketball players in Asia who will leave their mark on the game,” Curry said in a statement made official today.
The two-time NBA All-Star is making Philippines his second in a myriad stops that include thre Chinese cities. His first is Tokyo, Japan.
China and the Philippines have a rich cultural connection to basketball ... This will be an unforgettable experience and we have some special things planned for some of the best basketball fans in the world,” he added.

The multi-country visit is dubbed "The UA Roadshow featuring Stephen Curry."
The last three China stops are Beijing, Chongqing and Shanghai.
Curry is the latest addition to a slew of NBA cagers visiting the country. Indiana's Paul George was in the country last July for a campaign for another sporting brand. Meanwhile, Cleveland's and two-time NBA champion LeBron James and Minnesota's Ricky Rubio are scheduled here this month.
