Faried, Green due for NBA 3X Philippines 2015

MANILA, Philippines - The Denver Nuggets’ Kenneth Faried and San Antonio Spurs’ Danny Green are due here late this month to headline the NBA 3X Philippines 2015 at the SM Mall of Asia Activity Center in Pasay City.

Faried, called “The Manimal” in the NBA, and Green, a vital cog in the Spurs’ title run last year, will join Franklin, the Philadelphia 76ers’ mascot, and the dance team of the Golden State Warriors, the reigning NBA champions, in the event set  Aug. 28-30.

NBA Asia Philippine country manager Carlo Singson said the event, now on its fifth year, is part of the NBA’s goal of  bringing the NBA experience straight to its loyal fans like the Filipinos, whose passion not just for the NBA but basketball in general is unequal.

The NBA 3X Philippines 2015 will hold a 3-on-3 basketball competition that will also be spiced up by side events like a slam dunk contest, a three-point shootout, skills challenge and an autograph session with Faried, Green, Franklin and the Goolden State Warriors dance team.

The 3-on-3 event, which will also use the Phl International Convention Center as a secondary venue, will have several divisions.
