Shanghai tops slo-pitch tourney

MANILA, Philippines - Shanghai team Shwaaack repeated over Cebuana Lhuillier, 9-6, to sweep the crown in the Super Division of the Pureplay Slo-Pitch softball tournament at the Clark International Sports Complex in Pampanga recently.

Shwaaack dominated Cebuana, 15-3, in their first match then reasserted their might in the next to overcome the latter’s twice-to-beat edge in the finals following a sweep of the elims play.

 Japan’s Yokota whipped Saigon, 18-6, to clinch third place honors while the Entom Tigers took the Club Division crown in the tournament organized by Pureplay Sports and co-presented by Global Clark Assets Corp.
