Promoters bare official Mayweather-Pacquiao artwork

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – With 40 days left before the highly anticipated showdown between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, promoters have unveiled the official poster for the bout that is expected to rake in at least $400 million in revenue.

ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael tweeted a photo of the official Mayweather-Pacquiao poster. As expected, Mayweather is positioned on the left side, being the A-list star of the promotion.

Top Rank chief Bob Arum told Rafael that demand for the super fight is extraordinary that it is seen to surpass the $400-million mark in terms of money generated.

"It's crazy, but it is what it is," Arum said. "It's amazing."

Ticket prices to the May 2 fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas range from $1,500 to as high as $10,000, and Arum said they are looking at making a whopping $74 million for the live gate alone.
