2 share NCA derby honors
MANILA, Philippines - Vic Yap and Pipo Soliman’s R.U. Sta. Cruz PS Hot City and the Triple J Farm of Epifanio Revilla and Jay Maglunop tallied five points apiece to share top honors in the National Cockers Alliance six-cock derby at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City last week.
Ernie Austria’s Firefly 13 Sagupaan scored 4.5 points to finish joint third with MPV’s Karambola, Rene Medina’s Lucky Money and Henry Tan’s Dynasty.
Yap and Soliman’s other entry, PS Mayap Hot City, wound up with four points in a tie with Pugad Adventure Senor of Gen. Martin and Barry Crisostomo, Rep. Patrick Antonio’s National Barkadahan Firefly 13, Winston Pe’s Ricachu Biga-a, and Gov. Claude Bautista’s CPB Benhur.
Meanwhile, action in the weekly derby, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, resumes on Tuesday with another six-cocker to be hosted by Patrick Antonio, Atong Ang, Efren Canlas, Jun Mendoza, and the Firefly Group.
