Tanduay beach volley 1st leg up

MANILA, Philippines - The first leg of the 2015 Tanduay Light Women’s Beach Volleyball Challenge unfolds Sunday at the sand court of the Cantada Sports Center in Bagumbayan, Taguig City.

Beach and indoor volleyball stars like Michelle Datuin and Michiko Castaneda; Judy Caballejo and Camille Abanto; Wendy Semana and Gena Andaya; Wensh Tiu and April Hingpit;  Amanda Villanueva and Marleen Cortel; Aiza Maizo Pontillas and Janine Marciano; and, Jovelyn Gonzaga and Nene Bautista  have confirmed their participation in the tough field that also includes teams from RTU and other teams from the PVF-PLDT Amihan national team players.

The organizers, Edgardo “Tito Boy” and Gerard Cantada, cited the continued support of sportsman, Lucio “Bong” Tan, Jr. Other tournament supporters are MAPECON and Toyota Balintawak.

The women’s beach volleyball meet maintains a year long schedule providing first class competition and is part of a long term program of the Philippine Volleyball Federation. There is no entry fee and participants, officials and guests are treated to complimentary meals the whole day starting with breakfast and ends with dinner.
