Rain or Shine survives Alaska, ties Purefoods at 3rd spot

MANILA, Philippines -- Rain or Shine made a decisive closing flurry from an 86-85 count and turned back Alaska Milk, 99-89, to tie Purefoods at third place at 4-2 Friday night.

“The score doesn’t tell how close this game is.  We survived horrible free throws and Paul Lee’s absence. Good thing, Wayne (Chism) came in,” said Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao.
