Alaska, SMB, TnT switch imports

MANILA, Philippines – Alaska, San Miguel and Talk n Text have changed imports, tapping Damion James, Arizona Reid and Ivan Johnson to take over from DJ Covington, Ronald Roberts and Rich Howell, respectively.

The remaining teams that have stuck it out with their original imports are Kia, Barako Bull, Ginebra, Kia, Meralco and NLEX.

James was a third team All-American while with Texas U in 2010 later selected No. 24 overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Draft. He played five games with the San Antonio Spurs that won the last NBA championship.

Johnson is also a former Atlanta Hawk, playing 125 games through the 2011-13 NBA seasons where he averaged 6.5 points and 3.9 rebounds while Reid is the former Rain or Shine reinforcement, winning the Governors Cup Best Import award last year.
