Lagon entries show way in World Slasher Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Sonny Lagon led the victors as his entries went four-for-four in the third elimination round of the 2015 World Slasher Cup-1 8-cock Invitationa Derby at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Lagon boosted his standing in the cockfighting Olympics with his bets BlueBlade RJM-1 and BlueBlade RJM-3 fighting his famed Sweater crosses, Machine Kelsos and hard-hitting Joe Good Greys.

Gov. Eddie Bong Plaza added two more wins to his fleet of undefeated entries as he solidified his efforts to defend the Slasher crown.

Gerry Ramos, fielding Mayor Nene Aguilar’s aces, also entered the winners’ circle again.

Likewise undefeated with two wins each were Ramon Montiero, Col. Echeveria, Buddy Robregado, Cong. Amante, Jack Chung, Abelardo Balota, Chito Umali, Atty. Art de Castro, Ferdie Eusebio, Frank Berin, Jet & Joel Fernando, Cano Daniel, Boni Salguet, Michael Masburn, William Mamba, Butch Cambra, Rhemy Medrano, Jess Muradaz, Ka Ador Pleyto and Jessymin Raquid.

Slasher action continues at the Big Dome with 80 fights lined up today for the second semifinal round. Last day of semis take center stage tomorrow as hopefuls vie for a slot in the 4-cock grand finals on Feb. 1. Those who garnered 2, 2.5 or 3 points will go head to head in the 4-cock pre-finals on Jan. 31.

Hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions, the 379-entry event is being held in cooperation with Thunderbird Platinum, Sagupaan, B-Meg and Petron.
