‘Harrows’ Santos Cup darts tilt on
MANILA, Philippines - Action in the Jay “Harrows” Santos Cup darts tournament heats up today as the country’s leading and rising players step up their respective bids in the P300,000 event at the Sta. Lucia Mall in Cainta, Rizal.
The tourney kicked off last night with the P16,000 Open Classified Doubles competition dubbed as “The Boss Cup” of popular singer/composer Rannie Raymundo at the Greenfields District common grounds in front of the Primos Cuisine and Lounge in Mandaluyong City.
Today’s event, sanctioned by the Darts Council of the Philippines and supported by Toby’s Sports and Terton Craft, will feature the P40,000 Classified Draw Doubles starting at 6:30 p.m.
Tomorrow, four events are scheduled starting at 10:30 a.m. with the Fixed Four Person Team competition with a cash prize of P72,000. The P10,000 ladies’ singles will be held at 10:30 a.m., followed by the P12,000 senior singles tiff at 1:30 p.m. The final match, the P30,000 classified draw triples, is set at 6 p.m.
On Sunday, the young darters will compete starting at 10:30 a.m. for the P6,000 youth singles event of the tournament organized by the National Darts Federation and backed by Robson Sportscraft with official dartboards provided by Razor.
Meanwhile, other darters can join the P30,000 fixed doubles event, while the much awaited P100,000 open singles will start at 4 p.m. with the champion receiving P36,000 and a trophy from Alfonso 1 Light.
