Wao to defend WBC int’l belt vs Lopez

MANILA, Philippines - The Elorde International Productions headed by Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde will present three international championship bouts tomorrow at the Elorde Sports Center.

WBC international bantamweight champion Rex Wao will make his first title defense against former WBC silver superflyweight champion Silvestre Lopez in the top main event while Dennis Tubieron, former WBC international bantamweight champion, battles tough Carlo Magali for the vacant WBC international featherweight championship.

What might steal the show is the fight of Tosho Aoki of Japan, who will defend his crown against Rengga Rengga of Jakarta, Indonesia for the IBF Australian lightweight championship.

The preliminaries will feature Rolly Sumalpong, another boxer from the Elorde stable, against Michael Landero from Wild Card Gym in a 10-round bout.
