Abear, Firmeza top ABC annual tilt

MANILA, Philippines - Toto Abear of Novelle Furniture showed top form and rolled a 2051 to capture the Group 1 crown while Abe Firmeza of Philflex Wires and Cables took the Group 2 plum with a 1388 as they led the winners in the Architects Bowling Club’s Annual Championships at the E-Lanes in Ortigas Ave., San Juan last week.

Nonoy de Jesus of Philflex Cables shot a 2025 to finish second to Abear while Joan Mendoza and Nepthy del Rosario, both of Boysen Paints, and Crown Pipes’ Walter Villanueva scored 1970, 1951 and 1917 to place third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

May Sabater of Novelle Furniture pooled a 1359, Zeny Prudente of Moldex Pipes carded a 1332, Ricky Martinez of Coach Furnitures had a 1299, and Randy Poon of American Wires made a 1287 for second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in Group 2 of the event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.
