S’woods seniors trimester golf up

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Southwoods Seniors Chapter holds the Seniors Trimester Birthday Bash golf tournament on Dec. 3 with 60 of the club’s top golfing seniors battling it out for top honors in various divisions at the Masters course in Carmona, Cavite.

Butch Brodett and Kas Jamias are expected to lead the field in the 18-hole tournament, seeking a repeat of their feats in Classes A and B, respectively, in the event presented by Megafiber Psyllium Fiber and Goutritis Herbal Supplement and organized by the Seniors Chapter headed by president-tournament chairman Francisco Gonzalez and vice president Rod Pepito.

Registration starts at 6 a.m. with the shotgun start set at 8 a.m. The tournament, to be played under the Stableford scoring system, is open to senior chapter members and guests aged 55 years old and above.

Brodett scored 43 points from a gross 75 and nipped Poch Hernandez in the countback to rule Class A in the second trimester tournament last August while Jamias clinched the Class B crown with a 42, also nipping Ric Bernabe in the countback.

Aside from Classes A (0-14) and B (15-28), also on tap in the event, backed by hole-in-one sponsors Wilson Sports and Yamaha by Kart Plaza, is the Class C division for 29-42 handicappers.
